Kinja'd!!!

A 40km route to a local town and back along one of my favourite driving roads. Almost as good on the bike, but some bits are annoyingly steep.

Kinja'd!!!

As part of the social distancing arrangements the high street is now one way to traffic with more pavement space. Lots of people are whining about this, but I could see it making it more pleasant in the future.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I swapped out the slick, slightly too big Contis to some 700x30 Schwalbe G-one Speeds, which seem great and much more suited to the more mixed surfaces the local roads are made from.

Kinja'd!!!

Stopped by one of the local castles on the way back. There’s plenty of them to go around.

Most of them are. This one was basically irrelevant by the mid 1200s, and was noted as derelict in the 1500s.  The attached mill was in use until around the early 2000s.
